Starting Pitcher Alex Voss led the strong pitching line up from the Red Stockings in August. Voss played 9 games with 8 wins recorded from them. He pitched 81 innings to give up only 49 hits and 5 earned runs for an amazing ERA of 0.56. This work won him a deserved NL Pitcher of the Month Award.
