Once again, the final game in a series of ours is rained out.
Liberty League:
Boston (5) at Cleveland (11): Lou Townley (26-3.4) (5-4) over William Little (27-6.0) (5-4). 3B Tom Nelson (21-6.6), who I was loathe to trade but did anyway, had 5 hits, stole 4 bases, scored 4 runs and had 2 RBIs. For the Shamrocks, manager/1B Pete Bucolo (40-4.1) pulled a muscle and will sit for a week.
Elsewhere:
Once again, Sam Boullion (28-4.8) cracked out 3 hits for the Syracuse Stars, this time with a double.
