Kansas City (7) at St. Louis (8) in 10 innings: Tom Wilmarth (28-5.4) (3-3) over Dan Butler (30-4.5) (2-3). Kansas City scored 3 times in the top of the 10th, but St. Louis scored 4 in the bottom half to win. It is the 2nd straight day that they have scored at least 3 runs in their final at bat to win in sudden death. C Willie Ticknor's (31-3.1) only hit of the game ended it. 1B Ed Zarnoch (26-4.1) had 4 hits with a double and a walk, scored the winning run and had 2 RBIs.
Chicago (7) at Milwaukee (8) in 11 innings: Zenas Keough (27-4.5) (2-5) over Pete Rinehart (29-6.2) (5-3). Rookie CF Ed Sudduth (25-4.4) won the game with his only hit of the day. 2B Lou Bohus (28-5.4) had 4 hits and a walk and scored a run. For the Colts, 2B Eb Provost (24-4.6) had 4 hits with a double and a triple and a walk, stole a base, scored a run and had 2 RBIs.
