I managed to get by this error by going through everyones team one by one to make sure they had all rosters dressed and lines filled.
The game should state when this is the case. It does for the most part, but not always.

Sorry for the late reply, I assume that you don't have the save with the crash anymore. If you have this problem again, please upload the save and let me know. I will look into it and try to fix the problem.
