The fans of the Orioles are a little worried about how their favourite team's form seemed to dip in May. The record of 10-17 has not hurt their position in the table much but has hurt their prospects of winning another AL pennant. They still remain in 4th place in the AL table but have fallen to 14 games behind the leaders.

The team's Doctor is struggling to keep the teams injury list down and this is starting to show in the performances. For Short Stop Pop Smith it is really troubling as no sooner did he return from a lay off then he goes and picks up another injury in the very next game he plays. He will be missing for a further 2 weeks with a sprained finger. He is joined by star batter First Baseman Dan Brouthers on the sidelines after he picked up some shoulder soreness. Brouthers will be out for between 2 and 3 weeks. One piece of good news was the return of Catcher Joe Visner at the end of the month who will return to the lineup after a few days rehabing in single A.
In a month where the starting pitchers struggled 1 of them stood out as head and shoulders over the others. Pitcher Toad Ramsey showed what can be done from the mound when you keep calm and play well. He managed to win 7 of the 9 games he started. He pitched 77.2 innings to give up 64 hits and 15 earned runs for an ERA of 1.74.
