The fans of the Giants are pleased with the steady start their team has provided them with. They are now hoping this can be built upon. The team went 13-13 during the month of April to move them into 4th place in the table, 4 games behind the leaders.

Series Results
2-1 at home to the Cincinnati Red Stockings

2-2 on the road to the Brooklyn Bridegrooms
3-0 on the road to the St Louis Browns

1-2 at home to the Boston Beaneaters
went 2-0 to start a road trip to the Pittsburgh Alleghenys

The injury count hurt the New York Giants this month as they lost both Left Fielder Ed Greer for 3 weeks of the month with a sprained knee and Second Baseman Bill Greenwood for 6 weeks with an oblique strain.

It was a tough month for the Giants and as such we will not be highlighting any good performances.
