Despite a solid outing from Stroman, Boston just could not get anything going against the Marlins, losing 3 to 1.

Stroman went 7 innings, giving up 2 runs (earned) on 5 hits, striking out 5 and walking 2. Game score 62. Newly acquired set up man Crocket struggled (1 run (earned) on 2 hits in one inning) in his first appearance of the year. The Boston hitters just could not get anything going against Chad Billingsly (7 innings, 3 hits (0 runs), 9 k's and 2 walks). Bogaerts (2 for 3, double) and Goldschmidt (1 for 3, double and walk) were the only real bright spots on offense.
