Manager/C Deacon Dubin (30-8.8) has his Spiders in town to play the final series of the season. We are 9-6 against them on the season, but got swept in 3 games in Cleveland last week. They are last in runs scored with 5.9 per game (Detroit is 5th with 6.0). They are 7th in runs allowed with 6.8 per game (Detroit is #1 with 4.9).

Frazier had to leave in the 3rd inning with a pulled hamstring and is done for the season. We were leading 2 to 1 until they scored 5 times in the 8th inning after 2 outs were made. We grounded into 3 double-plays.
In 2.2 innings, Frazier allowed 2 hits, no walks and struck out no one.
Ed Bush (27-5.3) came in and pitched 6.1 innings, allowing all 6 runs, 10 hits (almost all for extra bases), walked 2 and struck out 2.
Pedersen gave us 11 hits (almost all singles), 1 walk and struck out 1. At bat, he hit a double.
Each team made 2 errors.
3B Sam Boullion (27-4.8) had 4 hits with a double and scored a run. CF Tom Duncan (22-6.6) hit a double and got hit by a pitch.
For the Spiders, 2B Jesse Flanders (27-5.4) had 3 hits with a double and his 8th home run of the year and scored 2 runs.

Cincinnati (21) at New York (6): Charlie Branham (27-4.2) (35-26) over Jack Roberts (35-6.1) (16-31). Rookie LF Ed Kent (23-3.6) hit a double and 2 triples and scored 4 runs. Manager/CF Silver Borresen (33-6.9) had 3 hits with a double and a walk, scored 3 runs and had 5 RBIs. 2B Jack Green (34-5.5) had 4 hits, scored 2 runs and had 3 RBIs. For the Gothams, 1B John Hilliard (28-7.2) became the 1st man to ever hit 20 home runs in a single season.
Boston (4) at Pittsburgh (2): Dave Wolf (25-4.7) (24-8) over Fred Horner (26-3.8) (6-12). Wolf allowed 6 hits, 2 walks and struck out 3. At bat, he had 2 hits. Horner allowed 8 hits, 2 walks and struck out no one.
Louisville (3) at Indianapolis (9): Jimmy Euler (26-5.5) (17-20) over Sammy Berry (27-5.5) (11-15). Euler allowed 8 hits, 2 walks and struck out 3. 3B Bill Lawson (31-6.9) had 2 hits with a double and 4 RBIs.

Omaha (0) at Brooklyn (7): William David (24-3.6) (16-10) over Tom Lee (29-6.0) (24-20). David allowed 4 hits, 2 walks and struck out 3.
St. Louis (9) at Milwaukee (10): Freddy Wood (31-6.3) (26-27) over Fred Barrow (35-4.7) (23-25). The Terriers scored 6 times in the 1st inning, but the Brewers scored 4 times in the bottom of the 8th to prevail. Ed Capps (24-6.1) hit his league-leading 12th home run of the year. He hit under .200 as a rookie last year in 367 ABs, but has bounced back to have an excellent sophomore campaign.
