The front office started to struggle to get a fully fit team out for some games during the month after the amount of players heading to the treatment room to spend time with the team doctor. The first to go down was Pitcher Pretzel Getzien. Getzien is out for the season after a strained elbow will sideline him for between 2 and 3 months. The next to go was Catcher Fred Carroll who sprained a knee and will be out for 3 weeks. The last day of the month saw a double blow for the team as they lost star Left Fielder Pete Browning to a fractured finger (6 week lay off and possibly the rest of the season) and Pitcher Hugh O'Neill to a strained back (3 week lay off).
The top player during the month was Centre Fielder Phil Baker. Baker picked up 23 hits from 73 at bats in his 21 games. He scored 15 runs with 8 RBI's for an average of .315.
