Regardless of if Alou would have caught it or not I despise Cubs fans for blaming a goat & a guy for all of their failures. For years no one blamed Dusty for leaving Prior in too long, for Alex Gonzalez booting a ball that opened up the inning for the Marlins. This was Game 5, they still lost the next 2 games. |
Actually, it was Game 6, not Game 5.
Nor does anyone remember that there was still a Game 7—and the Cubs lost the Series more so there than in Game 6.
