even mlb.com can have suspect information. the pdf with the official rules should be used instead.
i've seen mistakes on the web pages of mlb.com, and summarized info that didn't fully outlne the actual rules.
e.g. i believe it was rules on Saves. it leaves something out or isn't fully up-to-date, while their offical rules pdf is 100% accurate.
