Liberty League:
New York (5) at Cincinnati (7) Game 1: Charlie Branham (27-4.2) (34-24) over Jack Roberts (35-6.1) (14-30). Branham allowed 6 hits, 2 walks and struck out no one. He did not allow an earned run. He has now won 6 in a row and 9 of his last 10.

New York (16) at Cincinnati (4) Game 2: Jack Roberts (35-6.1) (15-30) over Charlie Branham (27-4.2) (34-25). Roberts and Branham each pitched their 3rd game in 2 days. It seems it was a bit too much to ask of Branham, but Roberts had his best game of the three. He allowed 7 hits, no walks and struck out 2. Rookie CF Cinders Bradley (24-7.1) had 4 hits with 2 doubles, scored 2 runs and had an RBI. RF Bert Gellis (26-5.5) had 4 hits with his 4th home run of the year, scored 2 runs and had 5 RBIs. 3B Ed Glass (28-4.5) had 2 hits with a double and 2 walks, scored 4 runs and had 2 RBIs. For the Reds, C Cliff Robinson (29-6.1) hit his 3rd home run of the season.

Boston (7) at Indianapolis (8) in 11 innings: Joe Osborne (29-3.0) (1-8) in relief of Jimmy Euler (26-5.5) over Charlie Morlock (38-6.7) (11-18) in relief of Dave Wolf (25-4.7). Boston scored a run in the top of the 10th, but Indy tied in the bottom of the inning. The Red Caps scored again in the top of the 11th, but this time Indy scored twice in the bottom half to win. C Sandy McKinnon (28-4.0) won the game with a 2-run triple.

Grand National Association:
Milwaukee (10) at Kansas City (9) in 10 innings: Freddy Wood (31-6.3) (25-26) over Al McClaughry (23-5.6) (37-20). SS Tom Kelly (24-5.3) had 4 hits with 2 doubles, scored 3 runs, including the go=ahead run in the top of the 10th, stole a base and had 2 RBIs.

St. Louis (2) at Chicago (6): Pat Seguin (24-4.4) (37-25) over Ted Ryther (33-4.3) (28-24). Seguin allowed 6 hits, 3 walks and struck out 3. Ryther had to exit the game after 7 innings with a sore hamstring, but should be okay with a few days rest.
