Detroit Wolverines (74-44 .627 1st place in the Liberty League) at
Cleveland Spiders (50-66 .426 7th Place)

Lou Townley, Det. (25-3.4) (R 35-14 2.73 9.0-1.3-3.8 H-BB-K/9) vs. Artie Boucher, Clev. (24-6.1) (R 12-15 4.84 11.2-3.1-2.4).

Boucher did so well last time, they are sending him out again.

Lost - 2 to 1

We scored a total of 6 runs in the series against one of the worst pitching staffs in the League. We have been mailing it in for quite some time now. Since August 23, we are 14-18.

Townley allowed 7 hits, 2 walks and struck out no one.

Boucher gave us 6 hits, 2 walks and struck out 4.

We made 1 error and Cleveland made 4.

2B Jocko Cole (26-6.1) had to leave the game with tightness in his back, but should be fine with a few days off.
