Not sure if this helps but i started messing around with my special teams lines with specific attributes.

For PK i started using guys with good:

- Faceoffs (Winning faceoffs)
- Strength (Defend opponents screens)
- Shot Blocking (Willingness to block shots)
- Defensive Read (Understanding what the offense is trying to do)
- Positioning (Respond to defensive situation...defensive read understands it and positioning reacts to it)
- Checking (Lower offensive chances)
- Stamina (How long skater can take shifts)
- Stick Checking (Cause puck carrier to lose possession)
- Bravery (Willingness to put self into risky postions in corners or in front of net)
To get some SH goals
- Acceleration
- Agility
- Speed

As for PP
- Faceoffs (Winning faceoffs)
- Getting Open (Find place to shoot from when player doesnt have the puck)
- Passing (Ability to make tape to tape passes)
- Shot Accuracy (Ability to hit target)
- Screening (Ability to reduce goalies chance of making a save)
- Offensive Read (Respond to current situation when on offense)

Both my special teams increased immediately
