The team lost Catcher Jim O'Rourke to injury during late June for 2 weeks with a sprained thumb.
the team made changes to the squad during the month via some trading.
They sent 26 year old Short Stop Milt Whitehead and 22 year old minor league First Baseman George McVey to the Boston Beaneaters in exchange for 27 year old Right Fielder Buck West.
They also sent 29 year old Second Baseman Cub Stricker to the Louisville Colonels in exchange for 30 year old Short Stop Arthur Irwin and 21 year old Centre Fielder Taylor Shafer.
