The fans of the Orioles were a little disappointed with their team in June as the month produced another steady set of results. The team went through the month with a record of 11-12 along with a few washed out games. This has seen them drop down the AL table a little to 3rd place, 5 games behind the leaders.

The Injury news was not the best for the Orioles during June. Firstly Tip O'Neill suffered a set back and missed a couple of extra weeks with his injury before returning at the end of the month. The team also lost Pitcher John Connor for 2 weeks of the month with a strained oblique.
With the trade deadline looming the team decided to make a change to the squad. They sent 27 year old Third Baseman Billy Shindle to the New York Giants in exchange for 26 year old minor league pitcher Mac MacArthur and 23 year old minor league Catcher Con Daily.
The team was solid on the batting front during the month. The top player at the plate was Catcher King Kelly. Kelly played all 23 completed games and managed to claim 31 hits from his 92 at bats. He scored 13 runs with 11 RBI's for an average of .337.
