The problem is a corrupted settings.dat file... So the solution, go find that file... It should be .. C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Out of the Park Developments\Franchise Hockey Manager 2\config
Once that's open, look for settings.dat and delete it, then re-start the game and it'll generate a new, valid one and you should be OK.
