The steady form of the Alleghenys continues to keep their fans in a good mood during this season. The team had a 16-13 record during May. This has seen them position themselves in third place in the NL table half a game behind the leaders.

The Alleghenys rotation suffered during May after the top pitcher Charlie Buffinton missed 2 weeks of May with Shoulder Tendinitis. He was available for selection at the end of the month.

The teams form held up well during May and the star that helped to keep this going was Second Baseman Lou Bierbauer. Bierbauer picked up 37 hits from 116 at bats in 27 games. He scored 17 runs with 15 RBI's for an average of .319.
