After a strong start to the season the fans of the Beaneaters had to sit through a tougher month in May. The team managed to win 12 out of the 27 games they played. This has seen them tumble down the NL table from 1st to 5th position. They are now trailing the leaders by 3 games.

It was a tough month for all of the Beaneaters players as they struggled to find form. The player we have decided to highlight this month is Pitcher Matt Kilroy. Kilroy started 9 games and managed to find 5 wins. He pitched 75.2 innings to give up 63 hits and 20 earned runs for an ERA of 2.38.
