Last season the Brewers went down to the Iron Pigs in 5 games, but the Iron Pigs had home field. Will that make a difference this season? The Brewers would like to think so. Lead by a young offense an strong starting staff the Brewers will need to keep the Iron Pigs offense at bay. The Iron Pigs are the only playoff team to win under 90 games this season. A lot of that has to do with the fact they didn't have the depth in the rotation they did last season.

The Brewers are a better team this season, and a lot of that has to do with their pitching staff. With Fernando Fareless, Pedro Rivera and Golden Arm candidate Julio Rocha leading the way.

Iron Pigs Keys Winning:
1) Need someone besides Ricardo Gonzalez to win a game.
2) Need their offensive leaders Tom Anderson and Alonso Martinez to step it up, as last seasons Conference MVP Antonio Castaneda is out for the series.
3) Get to the Brewers bullpen.

Brewers Keys to Winning:
1) Beat the pitchers not named Ricardo Gonzalez.
2) Starters need to go deep into games.
3) Young bats, Chip Hurt & Michael Johnson, need to lead the way.

The Iron Pigs have made three trips to the Fall Class and have never won, the Brewers are just making their third playoff appearance. While the Iron Pigs have the experience, the Brewers have a little more talent.

Last season I picked the Brewers to win, and the Iron Pigs surprised me and took the series in 5. This season with the Brewers another year experienced, and with a better starting staff, I see them winning in 6 and going to their first DelMarVa Championship.
