Family Fun and Fritsch, FYI

The Padres "Family Fun Center" issues from 1978 and 1979 are perforated sheets of cards. The 1980 and 1981 sheets are just that - sheets.

An important note about One Year Winners. Other than the short, black and white first series that depicts players of the early '50s, all the cards feature photos from Topps. They were loaned by the then Sports Editor, prominent collector Bill Haber, to his friend, trading partner, and client Larry Fritsch.

Same thing went for the 1982 Renata Galasso set of Seattle Pilots (though it features some photos from George Brace). The since dispersed photo archive also confirmed that Topps far more formally provided the images (and often the airbrushing) for the 1964 Wheaties stamps set, the 1968-70 Transogram sets, and the 1975-79 Hostess sets.
