Peters Slams Milestone Homer
Peters Slams Milestone Homer: Colonials left fielder Peter Peters reached a career milestone yesterday, blasting home run number 500.
He took the achievement in stride. "It's always good to get another home run and even better to get another win," Peters told reporters in the postgame interview.
He went 2-3 during the New Castle 9-2 triumph over the Newark Millers and scored 1 run with 3 runs batted in.
His numbers show Peters is carrying a .311 lifetime batting average with 500 home runs and 1349 RBIs.

This seems to be year where the milestones keep on coming. Now that we are 15 seasons into the DBL the big stats are happening, and its been interesting to watch. The other dynasty's or leagues I played I simmed 50 seasons before I took over a team just to have that history, this is the first one I took over from Day, been a different experience.
Peter Peters is one of my favorite DBL players of all time. He is also THE first player of the DBL:
01/01/2013 Drafted in the 2013 inaugural draft (Round 1, Pick 1, 1st overall pick) by the New Castle Colonials.
He has spent his entire career with the Colonials and I hope he ends up retiring one. He is only the 2nd player to reach the 500 HR mark, but I think the 600 mark might a little out of his reach. Yes Peters is only 35, but he is 'wrecked' and has been battling injury after injury for a long time. Not sure how many more productive seasons he has left.
Congrats to the Peter Peters the first player of the DBL, on his 500th HR.
