The Delaware Conference got the scoring started in the second getting 2 off of starter Shawn Brock who had a control battle during the second inning. In the third the DC would add to their lead thanks to a solo-shot by Antonio Castandea.
In the 7th, the DC helod a 4-1 lead, when the MarVa Conf would tie things up, thanks to a 2-run shot by Henry Rojas. After 7 the game would be tied at 4.
The tie would last till the 9th, the bottom of the 9th to be exact. Carsten van der Esch was brought on to pitch for the MarVa Conf. Jorge Trujillo would start things off with a single, he would get throw out at second as the next hitter Pedro Galven couldn't get the sac-bunt down... but with 1-out Antonio Castaneda would come through again, this time with a double down the left field line. Lucio Pena made a strong through, but it wasn't enough as Galvan crossed the plate and the Delaware Conference would walk away with another All-Star Game victory!!

Game Notes: Despite being traded to a MarVa Conference team, Enzo Allard played for the Delaware Conference. It was odd to see the home white of a MarVa Conference player on the Delaware Conference team... Castaneda and Edward Barnes were the only players on the DC to collect 2 hits, Wayne Weaver was the only player on the MC to do it, going 2-3... Cliff Jones Jones, the oldest All-Star at 44-years old, went 0-2 with 2 walks... Ricardo Gonzalez pitched 2 innings, allowing 1 hit, 2 walks and striking out 3... Paul Brown, Julio Rocha and Naofumi Hashimoto all struck out 2 in 1 inning... Pedro Galven stole a base and was caught stealing, Trevor Parker stole a base for the MC... The MarVa Conference committed 2 errors, one by Claude Bond, one by Trevor Parker... The MarVa Conference has 2 extra base hits (2B by Lawson, HR by Rojas), the Delaware Conference had 3 (2B by Barnes, HR and 2B by Castaneda... Mike Johnson, the youngest player on the DC conference, added 2 RBI's in his first ASG... 39,006 was the reported attendance, the Dover Grounds, where the game was held seats 39,300.
DBL All Star Game a Hit with Fans: Today Nielsen announced the ratings for DBL's annual All Star game and the long and short of it was - it was a hit. "This year we saw enormous growth in the number of homes viewing the game, said DELMARVA Baseball League's Commissioner Leo Evans. He continue, "And to tell you the truth, we're not surprised as there really is no better sport in the world. The number of players we have in the league right now that are exceptional, not only for this period of baseball history but for the entire length of the sport's history is beyond compare."
