CENTURION'S FUTURE UP IN THE AIR

NEW JERSEY - After three years of improving the Tokyo Aeros, the Centurion Sports Management Group is seeking a new home. Reports indicate a number of teams are interested in Centurion's services including the LA Dodgers, Hartford Whalers, Anchorage Sky Chiefs, San Antonio Aviators and Houston Astros have all contacted Centurion about running their clubs.

"We're not at this point sure what we intend to do, we do know we want to go someplace and build a franchise over the next few years, but we will see," said Centurion spokesman Dave Littleburn.

This season is considered to be one of the best with some of the best players in the league availible such as Lars Heinreich, who at age 24 already has 442 home runs for his career.

"We know there is a great deal of talent out there. We want to be sure that if we go someplace, we'll be able to have access to some of that talent." said Dark Cloud.

Fans have voiced their opinions through the league, at where they want the club to go. Some say, to go to Hartford would be suicide since New Jersey and New York essentially own the AL East. Others suggest a return to more familiar territory would be appropriate.

"They ought to come back to Oregon and fix this team up again," said Martha Jones, at a Starbucks near Amway Field in Portland. Since the Whitley family purchased the team, the Emeralds have languished, while Centurion has one a World Series (2011) with the New York Mets and two other division titles in Tokyo.

A decision is expected by next week.
