Injuries:
SP Cornell Pearson, Torn UCL (Undergoing Tommy John Surgery), 7 Months
SP Carlos Coronado, Torn Labrum, 4-5 Months
SP Carlos Coronado will join Cornell Pearons on the DL and now I will be scrambling to find my 5th starter. Coronado was 5-7 3.92 in 14 starts this season... After a little thought, our #2 prospect (#24 in DBL), and top starting prospect Lazzaro Tadiotto will be called up. I am a little nervous about this, but I have a couple of other options if this one doens't work out.

Other/Roster News:
Steve Ingram got healthy and I shopped him around, but no one was willing to give me what I wanted and I wasn't about to give up something worthwhile... so it looks like the trade is off for now.
GM Notes:
Miguel Angel Gonzalez has found a home in the closers role. So far this season he has saved 22 games and posted a 0.91 ERA and a 0.44 WHIP> in 29.2 innings he has struck out 41 hitters and walked only 2. He has been lights out, and maybe my closer of the future...
We lost a starter, which is something I was hoping wasn't going to happen, and if it did, I was hoping for a short-term injury. With CC out for 4 months, it looks like his season is over and I will need to find a fulltime replacement. He was having a decent year, but I am hoping the guys I have on the roster and in AAA will be able to replace him. I decided to give a shot to Tadiotto, but I do have Lopez on the ready. I may end up going with a 6-man rotation until the all-star break... right now we have 3 rookie starting pitchers in the rotation. Wish me luck...
With Flores down to .194, I am torn what to do. Its almost like the Yankees with Stephen Drew, why has he been on the roster all year? Drew at least hits for a little power... do I make the move? Do I send Flores down to AAA in hopes he gets his swing back or is that a slap in his face? Maybe Vazquez is the best bet, but he is hitting over .300 in limited time... I would just hate to send Flores down and have it back-fire where he gets upset and I lose out on a guy who 'could' be good... on a bright note Robinson Lopez seems to be hitting the ball better he is up to .248. I think he will end up getting more time at 3B while Frank and Flores swap at SS... And hopefully one of them says "its my job" and that would be that.
Here is hoping our starting staff can pick the injured CC, and that our offense will help support Tadiotto. I am ready to see how things go over the next few weeks and if I need to make any moves during the All-Star break... Ernie Kennedy is starting to find his groove. He is a fun to watch and only seems to get better. Hopefully he will help pick up this rotation with Pearson and CC out... I have to admit losing CC makes me a little nervous. Mainly because he had experience, him and Brown are the only 2 starters with experience, now I have to hope these "kids" can keep up the work.
We have 3 games at home against the Senators this coming week, I think they are big games. Anytime we play our rival we want to win. They are still suffering through some injuries to the 3B Shumei Ishikawa, SS Jose Diaz and 1B Jiong Wu, but their OF is back in tack with Hidalgo and Atkins. Seems like a different team every time we play them.
