The fans of the White Sox are pleased their team managed to put in a good performance in August even if they finally surrendered their AL pennant. The team picked up a record of 15-11 during the month. The team are sitting in 2nd place in the AL table, 9.5 games behind the leaders.

Their was good news for the White Sox during the month as they saw the return of Starting Pitcher Charlie Geggus early in the month.

First Baseman Jocko Milligan had another excellent month with the bat. He picked up 40 hits in 109 at bats during his 26 games. He scored 21 runs with 37 RBI's for an average of .367.
