The team found their form again in August to put the smiles back onto their fans faces. The team managed to pick up 16 wins from their 27 games during the month. This has left the team in 6th place in the AL, 15 games behind the leaders and without a pennant for another season.

The Orioles suffered 2 injuries that could see both players out for the rest of the season. Catcher Bill Krieg picked up a hip strain mid month which has him sidelined for 3 weeks. He might be back in time for the last few games in September. Right Fielder King Kelly is definitely out for the rest of the season after his strained rib cage injury was diagnosed for a 4 weeks lay-off mid month.
Left Fielder Tip O'Neill put together another excellent month in August. He managed to pick up 46 hits from 111 at bats from his 27 games. He scored 22 runs and 29 RBI's for an average of .414. This earned him the AL Batter of the Month award.
