The final game of our series with Indianapolis was rained out.

Liberty League:

New York (10) at Louisville (3): Miah Turner (26-5.3) (21-13) over Sammy Berry (27-5.5) (9-8). Turner allowed 5 hits, 2 walks and strike out 7.

Cleveland (5) at Boston (6): Dave Wolf (25-4.7) (15-7) over Artie Boucher (24-6.1) (8-11). Cleveland scored 4 times in the 9th. Rookie 3B Highball Baxter (21-5.7) hit his 7th home run of the season. CF Sal Griffin (24-5.0) will miss 2 weeks with a sore shoulder.

Grand National Association:
Baltimore (11) at Kansas City (12): Dave Hendrich (24-6.0) (4-2) in relief of Al McClaughry (23-5.6) over Frank McSherry (32-4.1) (5-8). 2B Al Sarbacker (26-4.8) singled home the winning run in the bottom of the 9th. He had 4 hits, stole a base, scored 2 runs and had 3 RBIs. Rookie CF Heinie Ashmore (23-6.0) had 4 hits with a double, scored 2 runs and had 3 RBIs. SS Jim McCarthy (26-7.5) hit his 4th home run of the season. For the Orioles, 3B Sol Renaud (30-5.7) had 4 hits with a double and his 5th home run of the year, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs. Rookie SS William Lowe (24-6.1) had 4 hits with a double and a triple, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs.

Omaha (6) at Milwaukee (4): Lou Ellard (29-6.3) (6-6) over Wiley Steel (25-5.6) (7-15). Ellard allowed 6 hits, 3 walks and struck out 3. LF Fred Negus (23-6.7) had 4 hits with a double and a triple and scored 2 runs. For the Brewers, LF Ed Capps (24-6.1) hit his league-leading 11th home run of the year.

Brooklyn (7) at St. Louis (5): Al Green (24-3.8) (22-22) over Con Arnold (23-6.3) (7-10). At bat, Green hit a double and a triple, scored a run and had an RBI. He has won 4 of his last 5. For the Terriers, rookie 3B Kid Powell (24-7.5) hit his 2nd home run of the season. He now has a 20 game hitting streak.

Providence (7) at Chicago (6): Ed Hodges (27-3.2) (12-27) over Pat Seguin (23-4.4) (32-18). Last place sweeps 1st place in 3 games. And now they head to Providence to play 3 more. 1B Pat Ross (30-5.4) hit a home run, rookie 2B Dave Stricker (26-5.2) hit his 2nd and 3B Ed Knight (24-5.1) hit his 3rd of the year. For the Colts, 1B Joe Vaughan (32-5.2) strained his groin and will miss 5 weeks. Last year's Home Run King in the Liberty League has no home runs in the GNA this season and has only played 24 games.
