Omaha (5) at Kansas City (14): Al McClaughry (23-5.6) (29-15) over Tom Lee (29-5.0) (17-14). McClaughry allowed 11 hits, 4 walks and struck out 7. SS Ed Aldrich (23-6.8) had 4 hits and a walk, scored 3 runs and had an RBI. Rookie 2B Dave Henderson (24-4.1) had 4 hits and 2 RBIs.
Baltimore (8) at Milwaukee (13): Freddy Wood (31-6.3) (21-19) over Bill McGee (29-7.9) (4-5). McGee had to leave after 3 innings with a sore hamstring. He should be fine in a few days. 1B Dave Gray (26-4.9) had 2 hits and 2 walks, stole a base and scored 4 runs. For the Orioles, LF Billy Moore (32-7.0) hit a home run.
Providence (9) at St. Louis (6): Ed Wison (26-7.3) (13-18) over Ted Ryther (33-4.3) (23-17). Barrow allowed 7 hits, no walks and struck out 4. RF Biff Place (26-5.4) hit a home run.
Brooklyn (3) at Chicago (6): Pete Rinehart (28-6.2) (13-18) over William David (24-3.6) (9-8). Rinehart allowed 8 hits, 4 walks and struck out 4. David allowed 5 hits, 4 walks and struck out 6.
