Boston (10) at Cleveland (1): Dave Wolf (24-4.7) (10-5) over Henry Rawls (33-4.3) (10-14). Wolf allowed 5 hits, no walks and struck out 3. Rawls has lost 4 in a row. For the Spiders, SS Charlie Hale (29-4.8) strained a hamstring and will likely miss a month.
Louisville (4) at Cincinnati (13): Charlie Branham (27-4.2) (23-15) over Count Childs (31-3.1) (11-19). Rookie CF Ed Robling (24-7.3) will sit a week with a sore back.
Grand National Association:
