I have sent C Adam White (27-6.3) to Syracuse and have had C Tom Trever (24-4.7) issued a ticket bound for Detroit. Trever will get a trial as our #2 catcher. White is not the answer (he cannot out-run my pet box turtle) and C Evan Eckberg (31-3.5) is just getting worse and worse behind the plate. He will be limited to pinch-hit duties from here on out and then sent packing this Winter.

Grand National Association:
Omaha (8) at Brooklyn (9): John Ritch (32-7.8) (1-0) over Tom Lee (29-6.0) (14-10). Brooklyn scored all of their runs in the 1st 4 innings. C Jim Granier (32-5.7) hit his 4th home run of the season.
