The fans of the Grays enjoyed an excellent month from their team as they put themselves very much in contention for the NL pennant. The team picked up 17 wins from the 26 games played. They are now in 2nd place in the NL table, only 1.5 games behind the leaders.

The news from the injury list was good for the Brooklyn Grays. Both Jim O'Rourke and George Wood managed to get themselves fit to play ball again.

First Baseman Otto Schomberg continues to show that if you are good enough you are old enough for this league. He managed 38 hits from 103 at bats in his 26 games. He scored 25 runs with 14 RBI's for an average of .369. This earned him the NL Rookie of the Month Award.
