The Beaneaters fans were pleased to see a slight improvement in their teams form during July. It was still a poor month as they team picked up 11 wins from 27 games. They moved up a place in the NL table to 7th place, 28games behind the leaders.

Series Results
1-2 at home to the Cincinnati Red Stockings

0-3 on the road to the Philadelphia Quakers
2-1 at home to the Pittsburgh Alleghenys
2-1 at home to the Brooklyn Grays
2-1 on the road to the Chicago White Stockings
1-2 on the road to the St Louis Browns
0-2 on the road to the Cincinnati Red Stockings

It was all good news on the injury front for the Beaneaters in July with both Emmett Seery and John Kerins returning from the treatment table.

It was a mixed month for individual performances but the best came from the returning Left Fielder Emmett Seery. Seery managed to claim 30 hits in his 69 at bats during the 17 games he played. He scored 21 runs and 15 RBI's for an average of .435
