We made 5 errors and Boston made 4.

Liberty League:
Cleveland (5) at Louisville (3): Ed Pedersen (25-5.1) (10-18) over Count Childs (31-3.1) (9-15). Pedersen allowed 5 hits, 1 walk and struck out 3.

New York (8) at Pittsburgh (1): Miah Turner (26-5.3) (13-7) over Tom Adams (33-6.0) (5-8). Turner allowed 5 hits, 3 walks and struck out 5. The Puddlers have now lost 8 in a row.

Cincinnati (7) at Indianapolis (10): Sal DeVaux (32-3.5) (8-11) over John Stevens (30-8.2) (16-10). C Fred Smith (32-6.8) hit his 4th home run of the season. Go Hoosiers! They are keeping us in 1st place for the moment.

Grand National Association:

Omaha (22) at Kansas City (7): Tom Lee (29-6.0) (13-7) over Lew Burnett (26-4.5) (17-14). LF Fred Negus (23-6.7) hit a double and 2 triples, drew 2 walks, scored 5 runs and had an RBI. 1B Tom Anglin (34-5.6) had 3 hits, scored 4 runs and had 5 RBIs. The Cowboys used a record 4 pitchers in the game. P Dan Butler (30-4.7) will miss 3 to 4 weeks with a sore elbow. As he has walked 15 batters in 18.1 innings, I think the Cowboys won't be missing him much.

Baltimore (6) at Milwaukee (12): Freddy Wood (31-6.3) (15-14) over Pop Yurkovich (35-5.6) (10-18). Rookie 3B Ed Nelson (22-4.6) hit his 3rd home run of the year.

For the Grays, RF Joe Turner (27-6.6), their big pre-season acquisition, wrenched his neck and knocked his noggin and will be out for at least 10 months.
