New York (9) at Louisville (10): William McLeod (28-5.6) (14-8) over Jack Roberts (35-6.1) (5-17). Louisville scored all of its runs by the 4th inning. For the Gothams, RF Pussy Wise (25-6.8) hit his 2nd home run of the season.
Grand National Association:
Brooklyn (8) at Kansas City (2): Al Green (24-3.8) (14-13) over Al McClaughry (23-5.6) (16-12). Green allowed 8 hits 3 walks and struck out 2. Rookie 1B Fred Collins (23-5.2) had 4 hits with a double, stole 2 bases, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs. 2B Joe Henry (35-9.2) had 4 hits, stole a base, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs. For the Cowboys, LF Joe Nichols (30-5.3) has a bone spur on his elbow and will miss at least 6 weeks.
Providence (5) at Milwaukee (10): Zachary Buchanan (26-4.0) (14-12) over Ed Wison (26-7.3) (8-13). Buchanan allowed 8 hits, no walks and struck out 2. 1B Dave Gray (26-4.9) had 3 hits with his 3rd home run of the year and 2nd in as many days and 4 RBIs. For the Grays, RF Sy Cullum (24-5.9) hit a home run.
Omaha (9) at St. Louis (3): Lee Sprague (27-3.5) (14-14) over Fred Barrow (35-4.7) (13-11). Sprague allowed 3 hits, 5 walks and struck out no one. !!For St. Louis, rookie LF Pat Matthews (24-5.1) had a hit to extend his streak to 35 games and set the new all-time record!!
Baltimore (5) at Chicago (11): Pat Seguin (23-4.4) (17-12) over Tom Wilmarth (27-5.4) (15-13). Rookie 1B Tom Jackson (23-5.8) had 4 hits, scored 3 runs and had 2 RBIs. He is now batting .417 in 132 AB since being called up from Hartford of the Eastern League (A) where he was batting .456.
