Giddens makes his 1st start of the season today. He was 9-11 with a 4.23 ERA for London in the International League (A) before being called up to replace Dad Marshall (28-4.4), who was sent down with his 6.51 ERA.

We are going with Frazier over Ed Bush (27-5.3), since Frazier has been pitching well and Bush has been stinking.

Frazier allowed 6 hits, 2 walks and struck out 5.

We had 15 hits and made 2 errors. Indianapolis made 5.

CF Al Lewis (21-9.1) had 2 hits, stole a base, scored a run and had an RBI. 3B Sam Boullion (27-4.8) had 2 hits and a walk. LF Ben Smith (28-6.7) had 2 hits with his 6th home run of the year, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs. SS Tom Nelson (21-6.6) had 2 hits with a double and scored a run. 1B Zenas Woodard (27-4.6) had 2 hits, scored 2 runs and had an RBI. RF Joe Kraus (30-7.9) had 2 hits and a walk, scored 2 runs and had an RBI. C Jimmy Babcock (30-6.9) had 2 hits and a walk, scored a run and had 2 RBIs.

Liberty League:
Louisville (6) at Cleveland (4): Sammy Berry (27-5.5) (4-4) over Artie Boucher (24-6.1) (2-1). 1B Pete Hinde (31-7.9) had 4 hits, stole 2 bases, scored 2 runs and had an RBI.

Boston (1) at New York (7): Miah Turner (26-5.3) (10-5) over Dave Wolf (24-4.7) (7-4). Turner allowed 6 hits, 3 walks and struck out 5.

Pittsburgh (9) at Cincinnati (8) in 10 innings: Tom Adams (32-6.0) (5-5) over Charlie Branham (27-4.2) (15-10). LF Ace Trimmell (29-5.0) had 4 hits and a walk and scored 2 runs, including the go-ahead run in the 10th. SS Jim Ware (33-5.6) hit his 2nd home run of the season. For the Reds, RF Fleet Wilcox (30-4.9) went hitless, ending his streak at 26 games.

Grand National Association:

Baltimore (8) at Providence (6): Tom Wilmarth (27-5.4) (14-12) over Ed Hodges (27-3.2) (7-16). Rookie 2B Kitty Covington (22-5.4) had 4 hits with a triple, stole a base and scored 2 runs.

Omaha (6) at Brooklyn (5) in 10 innings: Lou Ellard (29-6.3) (3-2) over Ren French (26-4.9) (12-10). 2 errors and a wild pitch gave Omaha their run in the top of the 10th.

St. Louis (14) at Milwaukee (3): Fred Barrow (35-4.7) (13-10) over Wiley Steel (25-5.6) (4-7). Barrow allowed 7 hits, 2 walks and struck out 2. Rookie 3B Kid Powell (24-7.5) had 2 hits with a double, stole a base, scored 4 runs and had an RBI. Rookie LF Pat Matthews (24-5.1) had 4 hits with a double to extend his hitting streak to 31 games. He scored a run and had 4 RBIs. Ex-Wolverine 1B Jack Warren (35-7.2) hit a home run.

Kansas City (11) at Chicago (6): Lew Burnett (26-4.5) (14-12) over Pony Stanley (24-6.2) (10-8). Each team had 14 hits, but Chicago made 8 errors.
