Liberty League:

Pittsburgh (4) at New York (2) in 12 innings: Tom Adams (32-6.0) (4-5) over Jack Roberts (35-6.1) (4-16). In 12 innings, Adams allowed 12 hits, 1 walk and struck out 2. Roberts allowed 10 hits, walked 2 and struck out 5.

Louisville (3) at Cleveland (10): Ed Pedersen (25-5.1) (9-13) over Sammy Berry (27-5.5) (3-4). Pedersen allowed 10 hits, 1 walk and struck out 1.

Grand National Association:

Providence (2) at Brooklyn (18): William David (24-3.6) (4-2) in relief of Ren French (26-4.9) over Ed Hodges (27-3.2) (7-15). French had to leave in the 1st inning with a blister. He should be fine in a few days. David pitched 8.1 innings of relief, allowed 2 unearned runs, 4 hits, 3 walks and struck out 5. RF Tom Campbell (29-3.6) had 4 hits with a triple, scored 4 runs and had 2 RBIs. LF Kid Orr (28-5.6) hit 2 doubles and a home run, drew a walk, stole a base, scored 4 runs and had 5 RBIs.

Baltimore (2) at Omaha (12): Lee Sprague (27-3.5) (12-13) over Tom Wilmarth (27-5.4) (13-12). Sprague allowed 7 hits, 1 walk and struck out 3. 3B Bones Collins (32-4.4) hit his 3rd home run of the year.

Milwaukee (9) at St. Louis (12): Fred Barrow (35-4.7) (12-10) over Wiley Steel (25-5.6) (4-6). Rookie 1B Ed Zarnoch (25-4.1) had 4 hits and scored 3 runs. For the Brewers, rookie 3B Ed Nelson (22-4.6) hit 2 home runs, each with the bases empty.

Chicago (18) at Kansas City (5): Pat Seguin (23-4.4) (15-11) over Lew Burnett (26-4.5) (12-11). Seguin allowed 9 hits, 1 walk and struck out 2. 2B Henry Potter (33-6.4) had 2 hits and 2 walks, stole 2 bases, scored 3 runs and had 4 RBIs.
