The fans of the Nationals were pleased to see their teams form improve a little in June but they are still hoping for more. The team picked up a record of 11-10 during the month. They are now in 7th place in the AL table, 10.5 games behind the leaders.

First Baseman Alex McKinnon

There was mixed news on the injury front for the Nationals during the month. They were happy to see the return of Second Baseman Germany Smith early in the month. The team lost Short Stop Charlie Sweeney for 3 weeks of the month with a Quadricep strain. They also lost Catcher Pete Sommers mid month with a fractured thumb. He will be out for 4 weeks.

The team traded 26 year old Pitcher Stump Wiedman to the St Louis Browns in exchange for 23 year old minor league Catcher Tom Quinn and 19 year old Left Fielder Tom Terrell.

First Baseman Alex McKinnon has been the player with the best form during the month. He picked up 30 hits from 86 at bats in 21 games. He scored 18 runs with 19 RBI's for an average of .349.
