Players to make the All Star Squad
Pitcher James Burke and Catcher Chick Fulmer.
Charlie Ganzel returned from injury during the month while Third Baseman Billy Alvord was sidelined for 2 weeks of the month with a foot contusion.
The team made further changes to the squad by trading 29 year old minor league Pitcher George Crosby and 23 year old minor league Left Fielder Dave Beadle to the Boston Americans in exchange for 32 year old Short Stop Dave Rowe.
While the team as a whole is struggling, Pitcher James Burke continues to play well. Burke picked up 6 wins from his 8 games. He pitched 71 innings and gave up 70 hits with 14 earned runs against him. His ERA for the month was 1.77. These figures earned him the NL Pitcher of the Month award.
