Providence (6) at Brooklyn (9): Ren French (26-4.9) (12-8) over Ed Hodges (27-3.2) (7-14). Brooklyn scored 3 times in the bottom of the 9th to win the game. French did not pitch all that great, but it was his 2-out single that ended the game. He had 3 hits and scored a run.
Milwaukee (15) at Chicago (5): Freddy Wood (31-6.3) (11-11) over Pat Seguin (23-4.4) (14-11). Milwaukee scored 11 runs in the final 2 innings. Wood allowed 9 hits, 2 walks and struck out 6. Chicago made 8 errors. RF Ted Steeves (25-4.2) hit his 4th home run of the year. For the Colts, rookie 1B Tom Jackson (23-5.8) hit a home run.
