Grand National Association:
Baltimore (5) at Kansas City (6): Lew Burnett (26-4.5) (8-4) over Pop Yurkovich (35-5.6) (5-7). Kansas City scored twice in the bottom of the 9th to win. Rookie 3B Bev Bradley (22-6.2) hit a 2-out infield single to end the game.
Brooklyn (11) at Milwaukee (12): Wiley Steel (25-5.6) (3-2) in relief of Freddy Wood (31-6.3) over Ren French (25-4.9) (4-5). The Brewers scored 6 times in the bottom of the 9th to win. The final blow was a 2-out double by SS Lou Bohus (27-5.4). For the Gladiators, C Billy Boblett (29-5.4) hit his 2nd home run of the season.
