I will reiterate what others have said - there is NO reason to re-purchase the game, unless you're just particularly anxious to support Marcus & crew. This should totally be fixable.

eSellerate is the name of the company that handles the licensing BTW. But I agree with entering a support ticket.

Usually, if you have burned through your two licenses, the error message is different. So, this sounds more like a problem with the connection between your computer and the eSellerate service to me, so I agree I would be looking at firewalls, antivirus, proxy servers, that sort of thing. (This also leads me to believe that even if you buy another copy, you're going to run into the same issue with THAT license.)
