We are 3-5 against Stevens on the season.

McLeod allowed 3 hits, 2 walks and struck out 5.

We had 10 hits and made 1 error. Cincinnati made 8.

RF Joe Kraus (29-7.9) hit an inside-the-park home run, his 5th round-tripper of the season, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs. 3B Sam Boullion (26-4.8) had 2 hits with a triple, scored a run and had 2 RBIs. LF Ben Smith (27-6.7) had a hit and 2 walks and scored 4 runs. 2B Jocko Cole (25-6.1) had 2 hits, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs. SS Al Shaffer (26-5.6) had 2 hits, scored a run and had 2 RBIs. CF Ben Spencer (26-4.2) hit a double, scored a run and had an RBI.

Liberty League:
Rochester (9) at Indianapolis (6): Ed Hodges (26-3.2) (23-21) over Dad Marshall (27-4.4) (21-25). Hodges allowed 8 hits, 2 walks and struck out 3. At bat, he had 2 hits and a walk, scored a run and had an RBI. Marshall has lost 7 of his last 8. 1B Pete Hinde (31-7.9) had 3 hits with a home run, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs.

Cleveland (3) at Philadelphia (2): Ed Pedersen (24-5.1) (22-28) over Gene Rankins (29-5.4) (10-12). Pedersen allowed 12 hits, 1 walk and struck out 1. At bat, he had a hit and scored a run. Rankins allowed 7 hits, no walks and struck out 3. At bat, he had a hit. SS Harry Robinson (27-3.3) had 2 hits, stole a base and had 3 RBIs.

New York (5) at Boston (6): Charlie Morlock (37-6.7) (23-23) over Jack Roberts (34-6.1) (23-24). Morlock allowed 6 hits, 6 walks and struck out 8. At bat, he had a hit, scored a run and had an RBI. Roberts allowed 5 hits, 8 walks and struck out 1. CF George Kunz (33-5.7) only had 1 hit, but he knocked in 3 runs.

Grand National Association:
Kansas City (5) at Brooklyn (4): Al McClaughry (22-5.6) (26-28) over Ren French (25-4.9) (24-22). McClaughry allowed 6 hits, 1 walk and struck out 4. French allowed 8 hits, 3 walks and struck out 7. SS Jim McCarthy (25-7.5) hit 3 doubles and had 3 RBIs. Brooklyn has lost 5 in a row and the former 1st place team has dropped to 4th, 4 games back.

Providence (0) at Baltimore (13): Tom Wilmarth (26-5.4) (22-24) over Ed Wison (25-7.3) (31-20). Wilmarth allowed 2 hits, 3 walks and struck out 2. At bat, he had a hit, scored 2 runs and had an RBI. Wison allowed 8 hits, 2 walks and struck out 3. He beaned 3 batter and the Grays made 4 errors, but Baltimore only left 3 runners on base. RF Val Cornell (28-3.5) hit a double and a triple, scored 2 runs and had 5 RBIs. For the Grays, Rookie CF Al Young (22-4.8) will miss a week or two with injured shoulder.

Chicago (7) at Omaha (4): Pete Rinehart (27-6.2) (29-19) over Lee Sprague (26-3.5) (22-20). Rinehart allowed 9 hits, no walks and struck out 8. Sprague allowed 11 hits, 2 walks and struck out 4. C Walt Wilson (26-5.2) had 2 hits with a double, scored a run and had 2 RBIs. With this win against the 2nd place Mutuals, the Colts open a 2 game lead in the GNA.

Pittsburgh (4) at Milwaukee (2): Whitey Mathews (23-4.1) (33-23) over Zachary Buchanan (25-4.0) (23-31). Mathews allowed 5 hits, 1 walk and struck out 6. Buchanan allowed 7 hits, 1 walk and struck out 3. At bat, he hit a double and scored a run. 2B Dan White (26-5.1) had 3 hits with a triple, stole a 2 bases and scored 2 runs.
