Delbert "Deb" Blondin Minor League stats
Considered one of the finest athletes ever in Saginaw County, MI, Blondin excelled in baseball, basketball and football while in high school. Signed by the Red Sox, Deb played third base for the
Waterloo Hawks in 1960, batting .282 in 36 games. Released, he was offered contracts by the Indians and Tigers but, instead, chose to serve with the U.S. Army in Korea. He served as a police officer in Detroit and then as a police officer and investigator in Arizona and worked with kids in youth baseball leagues. Deb passed away in May of this year.
