The bull pen took a blow mid month as it saw Joe Borden sidelined. Borden will be missing 4 weeks of the season with a sore shoulder. This was offset by the batting line up getting some good news when Fred Corey returned to action late in the month.
Short Stop Jim O'Rourke continues to deny father time as he again posted some excellent numbers in July. This 35 year old managed to clip the ball 33 times from his 92 at bats in 25 games. He scored 11 runs and 23 RBI's for an average of .359
