Won - 3 to 2 in 12 innings

With 2 outs, 1B Sam Cowan (30-5.1) ended the game with a single.

DeVaux allowed 8 hits, 1 walk and struck out 6.

Pedersen gave us 10 hits, 2 walks and struck out 7.

We made 3 errors and Cleveland made 5.

SS Al Shaffer (26-5.6) had 3 hits with a triple, stole a base and scored a run. CF Ben Spencer (26-4.2) had 2 hits and an RBI.

For Cleveland, 3B Charlie Taylor (31-5.2) had 4 hits and stole a base, but nothing to show for it.

Liberty League:
Rochester (14) at Indianapolis (7): Ed Hodges (26-3.2) (22-21) over Levi Giddens (34-4.8) (10-24). 1B Pete Hinde (31-7.9) had 3 hits, stole 3 bases and scored 4 runs. C Jim Martin (25-5.0) had 4 hits, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs. RF Washington Macho (37-8.3) had 3 hits with a triple, scored 2 runs and had 4 RBIs.

Cincinnati (9) at Philadelphia (1): Charlie Branham (26-4.2) (17-7) over Wes Wright (32-5.7) (2-3). Branham allowed 3 hits, 1 walk and struck out 7. Rookie CF Fred Kerr (24-5.2) had 4 hits with 2 doubles, stole a base and scored 2 runs. LF Fleet Wilcox (29-4.9) had 2 hits with his 5th home run of the year, scored 2 runs and had 3 RBIs.

New York (6) at Boston (7): Joe Peters (30-4.9) (23-15) over Jack Roberts (34-6.1). New York scored 6 in the 1st 2 innings. The Red Caps clawed back, culminated by a run in the bottom of the 9th to win the game. A walk and 2 errors did the trick. Peters allowed 9 hits, 5 walks and struck out 8. C Frank Douglas (31-5.8) had 2 hits with a double, scored a run and had 2 RBIs.

Grand National Association:
Providence (10) at Brooklyn (3): Ed Wison (25-7.3) (31-19) over William David (23-3.6) (0-6). Wison allowed 6 hits, 4 walks and struck out 3. Brooklyn made 10 errors. 3B Sam Clark (35-4.7) had 3 hits, stole his 1st base of the season, scored 2 runs and had an RBI.

Pittsburgh (3) at Baltimore (4): Tom Wilmarth (26-5.4) (21-24) over Tom Lilly (26-6.4) (25-23). Baltimore won the game in the bottom of the 9th with 2 singles and a passed ball. Wilmarth allowed 5 hits, 1 walk and struck out 4. Lilly allowed 6 hits, 4 walks and struck out 2. Rookie SS Ducky Hogan (25-5.3) had 2 hits and score a run.

Kansas City (9) at Omaha (16): Tom Lee (28-6.0) (29-15) over Al McClaughry (22-5.6) (25-28). LF Dave Cunningham (31-5.4) had 3 hits with a double and a walk, stole a base and had 4 RBIs. Rookie 1B Fred Negus (22-6.7) had 3 hits and a walk, stole a base, scored 3 runs and had 2 RBIs.

Chicago (9) at Milwaukee (4): Pony Stanley (23-6.2) (33-24) over Dan Burton (31-4.9) (22-31). Stanley allowed 8 hits, 2 walks and struck out 3. At bat, he had 2 hits and scored a run. LF Tommy Casale (26-3.7) had 3 hits with a triple, scored 3 runs and had an RBI.
