So I put in a different utility player that was ranked even lower than the first. I then go and ask the manager to reset the lineups. OMG, he starting that guy over my star as well.
I did this about 3 or 4 times and the utility guy, who is ranked lower than the star by far, starts over my ESTABLISHED star every time.
The only way I could get the lineup I wanted with my current manager was with no backups in the outfield at all. (My star is an outfielder) But now all three of my outfielders will have to play every game without a break. Tired? Too bad, take the field. I don't have anyone else.
The second frustrating thing is that there is no way I can communicate to my manager that he NEEDS to start the star player that I paying $20M+ to, that hits over 25 HR a year, has around 100 RBIs every season and hits around .330 to .350 over a rookie who barely makes the team and could actually be in AAA.
If a manager did this in the real world, (defied management) he would be out on his ear and ridiculed by the guys on MLB network and ESPN.
Sorry folks, it's a flaw in the game.
So, maybe the problem for me is to figure out how to set the ratings to get a clearer picture of who is better than whom.
What settings for ratings do most of you find works the best?
Thanks again.
