We scored 8 runs in the 3rd inning.

Bush allowed 10 hits, no walks and struck out 9.

We had 9 hits and made 2 errors. Cleveland made 6, 4 in the 3rd inning.

RF Joe Kraus (29-7.9) hit 2 doubles, stole a base, scored 2 runs and had 3 RBIs. 3B Sam Boullion (26-4.8) hit a triple, stole a base, scored a run and had 2 RBIs. CF Ben Spencer (26-4.2) had 2 hits, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs. C Jimmy Babcock (30-6.9) had 3 hits, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs.

For Cleveland, C John Hatch (29-5.5), in his major league debut, had 2 hits with a triple, scored a run and had 2 RBIs. CF Jake Howard (27-4.6) hit his 3rd home run of the season, but cracked a bone in his foot and will miss 2 to 3 weeks.

Liberty League:
Cincinnati (6) at Philadelphia (3): John Stevens (29-8.2) (31-15) over Wes Wright (32-5.7) (2-2). Stevens allowed 5 hits, no walks and struck out 4. He has won 7 starts in a row and every one of them has been a gem. This was his worst outing over the span. Wright allowed 7 hits, 5 walks and struck out 4. Rookie CF Fred Kerr (24-5.2) had 2 hits with a triple and a walk, stole a base, scored 2 runs and had an RBI.

Boston (1) at Indianapolis (2): Dad Marshall (27-4.4) (21-24) over Charlie Morlock (37-6.7) (22-23). Marshall allowed 7 hits, 1 walk and struck out 6. Morlock allowed 2 hits, 2 walks and struck out 2. He did not allow a hit until 2 outs into the 8th inning, but then an error and a pair of doubles gave the Hoosiers their 2 runs.

Grand National Association:

Providence (7) at Brooklyn (6): Tom Blomberg (28-4.7) (26-22) over Ren French (25-4.9) (24-21). Blomberg allowed 8 hits, 3 walks and struck out 4. At bat he had a double and a walk and an RBI. 1B Charlie Gregor (27-5.2) had 3 hits with 2 doubles and 2 walks, scored 2 runs and had an RBI.

Pittsburgh (0) at Baltimore (6): Pop Yurkovich (34-5.6) (20-24) over Whitey Mathews (23-4.1) (31-23). Yurkovich allowed 4 hits, 3 walks and struck out 5. At bat, he had a double and a walk and scored a run. He has now won 5 in a row. Rookie SS Ducky Hogan (25-5.3) hit a 2-run home run.

Kansas City (4) at Omaha (11): Lee Sprague (26-3.5) (21-19) over Lew Burnett (25-4.5) (14-25). Sprague allowed 5 hits, no walks and struck out 3 for his first good game in ages. At bat, he had a hit and 2 RBIs. SS Ed Aldrich (22-6.8) had 4 hits with a double, stole a base, scored 2 runs and had an RBI.

Chicago (2) at Milwaukee (9): Zachary Buchanan (25-4.0) (23-30) over Pete Rinehart (27-6.2) (28-19). Buchanan allowed 5 hits, 2 walks and struck out 10. 2B Lou Bohus (26-5.4) had 4 hits with a double, stole 2 bases, scored 2 runs and had an RBI.
