He has won 7 starts in a row and every one of them has been a gem. This was his worst outing over the span. Wright allowed 7 hits, 5 walks and struck out 4. Rookie CF Fred Kerr (24-5.2) had 2 hits with a triple and a walk, stole a base, scored 2 runs and had an RBI.

Boston (1) at Indianapolis (2): Dad Marshall (27-4.4) (21-24) over Charlie Morlock (37-6.7) (22-23). Marshall allowed 7 hits, 1 walk and struck out 6. Morlock allowed 2 hits, 2 walks and struck out 2. He did not allow a hit until 2 outs into the 8th inning, but then an error and a pair of doubles gave the Hoosiers their 2 runs.
