3B Sam Boullion (26-4.8) had 2 hits with a triple and scored a run. RF Willie Kirby (24-2.1) hit a triple, stole a base, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs. SS Al Shaffer (26-5.6) had 2 hits and 2 RBIs.
For Cincinnati, CF Jimmy Wolf (25-5.1) had 2 hits with a double, stole a base and scored 2 runs. 2B Jumbo Lynn (26-3.8) had 3 hits with a double and a triple, drew a walk, scored 3 runs and made 3 RBIs. 1B Joe Vaughan (31-5.2) hit an inside-the-park home run, his 8th round-tripper of the year, 5 of which have come against Detroit. He also walked and scored twice and had 2 RBIs.
Liberty League:
Indianapolis (3) at Rochester (5): Bill Henson (29-6.5) (12-23) over Levi Giddens (34-4.8) (9-20). Henson allowed 7 hits, 1 walk and struck out 4. At bat, he had a hit and a walk. Giddens allowed 11 hits, 4 walks and struck out 3. The Hoosiers made 10 errors. 1B Pete Hinde (30-7.9) had 2 hits and 2 RBIs.
Boston (13) at New York (12): Joe Peters (30-4.9) (18-12) over Jack Roberts (34-6.1) (21-18). Peters gave up at least 9 runs and 14 hits for the 3rd game in a row. Roberts has lost 5 in a row and has been pounded similarly for 3 straight games. C Frank Douglas (31-5.8) had 3 hits with a triple, scored 3 runs and had 3 RBIs. Rookie CF Ed Tummino (24-5.8) had 3 hits, scored 2 runs and had an RBI.
Philadelphia (2) at Cleveland (5) Game 1: Ed Pedersen (24-5.1) (19-19) over Ted Ryther (32-4.3) (11-23). Pedersen allowed 7 hits, 2 walks and struck out 4. At bat, he had a hit, scored a run and had an RBI. Ryther allowed 11 hits, 2 walks and struck out 2. CF Jake Howard (27-4.6) had 2 hits, stole a base, scored a run and had an RBI.
