Seth Maness blew another save opportunity, once again allowing two runs and taking the loss. Tyler Thornburg turned in another good start, lowering his ERA to 3.24.

Nate Karns didn't pitch especially well in his second start, but he was able to earn his first win of the season. Meanwhile, Wilson Ramos continued his hot streak, hitting his second homer in as many games.

Brandon Maurer became the first Lumberjacks pitcher to double digit wins, as he shut out the Reds over 6.2 innings. Every Lumberjack starter recieved one hit, with the exception of Chris Davis, who had two, including his 27th home run of the season.
